This world has come to be Just another pain Everybody out for themselves All those people with their games And it's a sin to leave you here But I'm gonna be fine The Teletransporter's gonna beam me up at nine (Chorus): Oh Lord! The day's arrived I'm gonna go far I'm stepping into my Teletransporter Blast me to the stars Zap! Boom! Straight to the moon Gonna live out my life alone Nobody gonna tele-transport me back home (Ouu) I step in and a scanner downloads My feelings on a drive Then my body gets destroyed But my soul, it will survive It gets shot at the speed of light Into another man But is this human the same person as I am? (Ouu) (There's Something Wrong!) (Chorus)

Early one morning, a babe came into this world With a twinkle in his eye He looked at mama, only 17 (oh lord) She looked back at him and began to cry She said baby, don't u shed another tear I promise you we will get by And you know our problems, they are going to disappear You can count on me every time (Chorus): Cause when you're capsized on your lonesome seas I'll still come out to you, oh baby Even if you lost a dream or two You know when you cry, look me in the eye And I'll tell you something true You know there's always going to be somebody who loves you The way that I do As he grew, the mama took on struggle But her face never dropped a smile But that boy he grew into a soldier He looked at mama and told her all the while (Chorus) Seven years have passed now Since the boy he said goodbye (goodbye now) But I know that his love will never die He told his mama that all the time (Chorus)

I was just a boy when I heard my first cd It was an old time record of a song called 'I Feel Fine' And that first note sparked a rockin fire of destiny So began my quest for life's design From the Beatles to the Eagles, I learned how to sing and play Then a friend said Todder wanna join a band with me? Well I wasn't that great, but the fire got brighter everyday We played loud and proud and we played free (Chorus): It's been a long time running down the line And these have been the best years of my life Don't you fret when the future can't be recognized Cuz babe, we'll keep on running down the line We were getting pretty big and the fans began to idolize And the crowd went wild when our band began to play But now that's all gone, but the fire in my soul's still alive And I don't want it any other way (Chorus) (Take it away for me) (Chorus)

Trek through the snow Until I am home Home by the fire Warm and bright Christmas is here I'm surrounded by cheer And I'm with the Light of My Life Every year is just the same And I'm the one to blame My heart used to fall Out of sight But this year has changed I'm still home again But I'm with the Light of My Life The sun it may shine Clouds might mark the sky Our world, it will change As time goes by But one thing stays pure And it will, I'm sure The love for the Light of My Life And all the miles in the way They wouldn't mean a thing She still warms my heart With all her might And as you can see I'm as glad as can be Cuz I'm with the Light of My Life

Call To Arms 02:26
There's trouble blowing in the streets Our brother's blood splattered on our feet Revolution gonna rise today They just don't wanna go our way With a nation six-thousand strong They're going to attack at the break of dawn Listen to the call to arms They all wanna put up a fight They just don't know when to call it a night Tell you what I'm gonna do Gonna shoot them down and break out loose Oh! Listen to the guns a' blaze Soldiers, they are gonna die today I'm gonna fire away... I'm gonna fire away... I'm gonna fire away... I'm gonna fire! Listen to the call to arms Fire!

Strike! 03:15
Shadows fill the streets Sweat breaks upon our brow We've come so far, there's no turning back now Our callused, broken hands Raise the flags of war Our souls ignite as we barricade our doors (Chorus): Here we are (Strike!) Here we stand (Strike!) All we want is what we demand We won't compromise (Strike!) Our lives (Strike!) And we're gonna stand tall to defend our rights (Let's Strike!) The pavement cracks below Our nation's battered hide We are not afraid to die Their messenger rides to us But still, they can't agree We're not cattle (We're Men!) Why can't they see? (Tell me now...) (Chorus) x2 We are not afraid to die...

(Hamlet's soliloquy) The wolf cries in the morning As he looks to the sun He sees the dead sheep working Working until the farmer's come The wolf stalks closer now Sees the prey at hand But then, life cuts him down as he Falls unto the sand, oh.... (Please don't go) x2 The cooked ground ignites the woods And makes him sad He looks to the promised land Up on top of the Hoover Dam Thought attached by sound Through the Mississippi Gorge The wolf meets a friendly coyote And they tell tales of old (Please don't go) x2 Please don't go all the way... And as the wolf looked at its prey, Its dead prey with the blood splattered upon its fur coat, the wolf looked upon the moon And said, "Why do you shine on this dark day?" Then the wolf howls at the ever shining, Ever silent moon that cast a beam of hope, Yet, was it not a hopeful day? The wolf gazed into the eyes of the mother Whom it had slain, and the wolf cried As it began to transform into one That was not of our world. (Please don't go) x3

Gather, for the lord has died (Won't you tell?) Take your horse and (Take this message and) Take your horse and dear messenger (Spread it far and wide, be swift) To ride away...

Ouu, won't you sweep me away? x4 I may get mean, I met get tense, I might go screaming Making no sense. But an angel woman still Treating me so kind. And I know I am Always on her mind. And then I see her face, a very good friend of mine. And we don't notice where the winds are blowing this time. But I can take my cares and leave them for another day. So sweep me away! Ouu, won't you sweep me away? x2 When I wanna chew the fat Or when I need a helping hand, I can always count on This wise and respectful man. When I'm feeling down Or when I'm lonely, He's the one man Who's always got a friend in me. But then I see his face, a very good friend of mine. And we don't notice where the winds are blowing this time. But I can take my cares and leave them for another day. So sweep me away! Ouu, won't you sweep me away? x2 I know this happiness Can only last so long. Then that day will come When those friends of mine are gone. I can't imagine What troubles lie ahead But baby forget those cares And enjoy the moments left. And then I see there face, the very good friends of mine. And I don't notice where the winds are blowing this time. But I can take my cares and leave them for another day. So sweep me away! Ouu, won't you sweep me away....

Lucky I'm Me 05:33

about

In his sophomore effort, Kevin Todd throws the rule book to writing a conventional rock album, as well as the preconceived limits of what one musician is capable of, out the window with what is truly an audacious explosion of sound and emotion.

Teletransporter, the fearless and powerful second album by the 17-year-old one-man-act, leaves no area of his imagination, as well as no genre, unexplored. With influences of jazz, funk, psychedelic rock, classical, and indie folk, its amazing how so much of the creative world was encapsulated in just over 40 minutes of music.

The starting three numbers, Teletransporter (title track), The Way That I Do, and Down The Line, hook the contemporary pop/rock listener with high-energy beats, hummable melodies, and soaring vocals. Switching gears, Todd follows these up with the tranquil bass ballade, Light of My Life.

Todd then immediately turns 180 degrees and unloads four of the most uniquely creative displays of song writing and musicianship in his young career. Call To Arms, with it's ingenious 7/8 construction throughout the majority of the piece, marries the intricacies of a modern jazz hit with the 70's-style funk of your favourite old cops show in perfect harmony with a dynamite rhythm section, groovy wah-wah guitars, and trumpets so funky, they make the knees of even the most seasoned listener weak. This is followed by the aggressively rockin' political number, Strike!, and the experimental calamity of psychedelic sound that is Daniel's Song. Eerie acapella then leads you into the classical rock instrumental, The Horse and the Messenger.

After the surprising end of the 8th song's second movement, Todd begins to wrap up the album with the relaxing, emotional ballade, Sweep Me Away: a soothing display of harmonies and song writing that finishes with a smooth 3 minute fade, Sweep Me Away features arguably the greatest bass guitar performance of Todd's career; even with Todd being no stranger to giving bass a lead role in his songs, the over-3-minute soaring bass solo that wraps this song up in a silk bow really showcases the multi-instrumentalist's improvisational and musical prowess unlike anything else.

Finally, Todd concludes with the fun-loving, acoustic number called Lucky I'm Me. Finishing this extravaganza with the light, happy pop piece gives Teletransporter the perfect blend of catchy, powerful, and ingenious. Truly, this is an album to be reckoned with.
